Together, we will find something you enjoy and look forward to doing, whatever that activity may be. The options are endless. What haven't you tried? Snowshoeing, rope climbing, box jumping, yoga, barre, spinning, kickboxing, personal training, in-home gym work? Let's avoid what you hate and embrace what you love! I will make it work for you.

Bio & Experience

Thank Jessica for your encouragement to care about myself. Since I first saw you in April, 2015 I have a new lifestyle, eating habits and enjoying walking over a mile up to three times a week. Not to mention my weight loss of 33 lbs so far. I love me and my new active lifestyle!
— My new outlook on life! | September, 2018

I was the founder and general manager at Denver Wellness and Nutrition Center-Sodexo where I grew a team of dietitians who focus on fulfilling the diverse nutritional needs of the community through contract services.

I brought such services to physician and hospital-based outpatient programs and provide them program development for nutritional counseling services based on their client needs. Of the 32 clinics and programs I have started throughout the Denver area, some of the programs I have developed include weight loss clinics, bariatric programs, certified diabetes programs, an ALS clinic, a kidney and liver transplant program, oncology centers, a practice for gastroenterology for adults and kids, as well as prevention and cardiovascular disease clinics. I am acutely passionate about providing onsite counseling and wellness programs (from individual to group to institutional). I believe in helping consumers navigate the nutritional maze towards a healthier life in an atmosphere that is both comfortable for them and conducive to learning, no matter the setting.

As an RDN, my training and vast experience lies in nutritional counseling in weight management, sports nutrition, bariatric education, diabetes prevention and management, cardiac diet modification, and family meal time counseling and organization. I also have gained a specific expertise in working with children and adults with special nutritional needs. Additionally, I am a Certified Diabetes Educator and an AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America)-certified group fitness instructor. I provide personal and group training in a number of gyms and homes around the Denver area. I served as a National Media Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for nine years. I have done innumerable media interviews helping to clarify the science and discussing health benefits of nutrition and fitness.

I earned my Bachelor's degree at Colorado State University and completed my postgraduate work in Oneonta, New York. I am accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

My accolades include being named 2009 Colorado Dietitian of the Year which lead to me to serve as Colorado Dietetic President Elect in 2009 and President of Colorado Dietetics Association in 2010. I am a strong supporter of public policy for dietitians and their professional development.

As a Media Spokesperson I have had the honor of speaking with a variety of media outlets, including weekly segments on Fox News and Channel 9 NBC News and am recognized as an expert resource regarding nutrition and health for many media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, Oprah, WebMD, Prevention, Shape, Weight Watchers, Men's Fitness, Readers Digest, and Martha Stewart Whole Living Magazines.
